Connections for Autism, a Durham, NC-based ed-tech company focusing on special education, is excited to announce a partnership for the 2017-18 school year with the State of Kansas’ Autism and Tertiary Behavior Support Team.

Working closely with Kansas educators at state and local levels, CFA completed a pilot project this spring, demonstrating the effectiveness of behavior problem-solving and intervention planning with the CFA platform.

"Access to the vast amount of resources is a win and saves time in researching, creating and implementing interventions,” one autism specialist noted.

An exceptional education teacher told us, “The problem-solving process was smooth and directional and led to wonderful brainstorming.”

The streamlined, systematic and effective problem-solving platform now will be implemented in select schools across The Sunflower State.

"We were thrilled to partner with a talented, dedicated group of individuals at both the state and district level to show them how to use both our shared, three-step problem-solving process and the CFA application,” says CFA co-founder Helen Fuller. “Educators across the state now can access resources to carry out the interventions and, critically, to gather data on their actual effectiveness.”

Connections for Autism is changing special education service delivery by saving teachers time in designing more effective individualized instruction for their students. The platform addresses the most acute challenges teachers face, providing them with tools to assess student needs, collaborate with colleagues, implement the right interventions for students with challenging behaviors and evaluate student progress – all in one powerful, integrated solution. CFA saves teachers time and makes them more effective, so they can excel at what they truly love: teaching.

"Our experience has shown that intervention planning around complex student behaviors requires the input and knowledge of an entire team,” says CFA co-founder Becky Dees. “Utilizing technology to provide a more systematic process ultimately results in more effective teaching strategies and better student outcomes.”
